wille tuff and bill white got me in to coursing many years ago i first went to the fens in 1977 with these lads seen some of the very old stuff run i remeber going on a friday morning and we slept in a barn and a ford escort van on the night and carried on running the dogs saturday at first light great men better times the salukie cross was only just coming in to its own bill white was running a dog called lucky willie had a bitch called judy i think and i had a dog bred out of willies and a bloke called bill hart she was a big bitch 27inch with a broken coat they were great dog men who knew what they needed to stop the fen hare and went on to breed some class dogs RIP Willie you gave me some great memoires and i hope you have all the great dogs with you now run them hard atb troter

first time i ever heard of willie tough was on a tape i got of marcus in 96 an not a very good copy. but willie was running his dogs probably some of the above and even on a short tape it came across that people had a lot of respect for the man . he has left a legacy in the coursing game R.I.P WT

I had a dog of captain x snowy had great hopes for it but disapointed me i never knew tuffy but my uncle dolphy related to him they were in calander coursing club together. Dolphy says the lucas dog has lot willie tough breeding in him sooner, hope etc etc

what a start to a great thread lets hope it continues never met willie but seen a few videos of him and his dogs and heard a few stories about the man and all good which makes a change.willie tough a true legend of the running dog game and also a good horseman i beleive .r.i.p.wt.

on that day we did not bring our dogs as the big ears where not to many we tryed to show our english friends a good day

willie and the lads got 12 big E on that day anytime we whent over to willie when we got to the fen the would make sure we got as many runs that we whanted before the take there dogs out of there van so to get respect you have to give it
