redcharge 378
If I chop the battery connecter will that void warrenty?? No you will still have your warranty, the battery connector is totally seperate from the battery you can buy them for around a fiver from the local gun shop, I dont like the cigarette lighter type plugs they always seem to **** up but some lads get on with them

Guest long-tail
the only problem i found was the socket that comes with the battery it plugs into the end and sticks straight out to which you then join your lamp cables it does work lose when moving a lot iv since found some they do that plug in the battery then the cable comes off at a right angle, bit hard to explain and i cant find pics but they certainly seem a lot better think they about a fiver would go for one if i was you

dytkos 17,819
Just buy one you tight git! 14ah gives about 2/3 hours continous on a Striker, so probably enough for 5/6 hours out. You'll never go back to the old skool batteries thats for sure. Only problem is when they are empty, it's like turning off a switch. No fade etc just dies immediately. Cheers, D. trigger2 3,146
i am just starting my 3rd year with my 14amp lithium and its still going strong. never had it go flat on me yet but i only use a 30watt bulb in a lance lamp. theres only one problem with them and thats the conector plug into the battery is a bit slack and needs a bit of tape round it each time i go out, having said that i wouldnt go back to the dry cell batteries.
Sirius 1,391
They are superb IMO, and you wont want to go back to a drycell after using one Giro. I have a 14 and its plenty. The biggest downside is that you have to rewire to get rid of those shite cigar connectors. I wish I could find a connector which I could plug direct into the battery from the lamp, rather than crimping as it will always be a weakness.
Millet 4,497
I don't like the Cigar socket very much but it does come in handy as you can use the battery for several different 12v appliences..

moonlighter 1,164
Just been checking the speck and if you can afford it, go for the 22 and they are the same size and weight as the 14, only dearer.
