Simoman 110
Bitches for me in the future, i'm finished with dogs after these two. Miss my old bitch very much, that old girl moved mountains to please, dogs are too fond of sniffing minge and shite for me, far to easily destracted. Got to agree with BL too, all too few good bitches about, dogs are always the preference. You can have the best dog in the world but if no one wants to use it, your gonna loose it. Excellent post, i have always had terrier bitches, never a dog, and always had lurcher dogs, never a bitch until last time. Think i will stick with bitches, it makes a change to walk a mile without 35 piss breaks, dogs are stronger, seasons can be a pain but life has its challenges............ Quote Link to post
unicornleather 60
I have had Lurcher bitches and terrier and lab x dogs, as some of the other have said, the dog's I found on the whole are always pissing, sniffing and easily get distracted, yet the lurcher bitches are really focused on their job whether it's lamping or mooching, I prefer bitches to dogs for these reasons. The boys are stronger and are good as back up but the action has to be up close and personal before they get interested! Edited August 29, 2012 by unicornleather Quote Link to post
birddog 1,354
bitches for me, i've had both but bitches seem to suit me, more subservient, more me orientated this leads to easier training and more consistency in the field, granted bitches have their seasons but often just once a year or so, dogs are permanently in season, i also think it's in a bitches nature to provide for her family (ie me) having said all that the best allrounder i've had was male 1 Quote Link to post
littlefish 585
Iv'e had both but prefer the mentality of the bitches i have had - much sharper in the head department, i feel. 2 Quote Link to post

Hurlock 114
Bitches for me. In season twice a year. Dogs in season 365 days of the year!!! Quote Link to post
MoChara 1,632
Dog's for me.. As previously stated, they dont go into heat, so can work whenever. But the most reason for me is - i find them more loyal and willing to please, and i just seem to get on better with dogs than bitches. Quote Link to post

collie/grey 238
Bitches for me, i get on better with them, they mature quicker and so far seasons have never stopped my bitches working 1 Quote Link to post
troter58 1,711
worked both over many years i prefer a dog no seasons i can put up with the pissing up every lamp post but hated it when a bitch would break down in mid season atb troter Quote Link to post
TommyTheTank 30
I have to say i prefer dogs myself but i didnt think people would make such a fuss about the whole thing! And i really dont get why people are complainin about the way dogs are always pissin? Whats wrong with a dog pissin for f**k sake? And if he's pissin so much that it's preventing him from hunting then he's obviosly not a great hunter and dosent love it.. They both seem to work the same to me but i might not have as much experience with it as some people as i never really thought about it! 1 Quote Link to post
