Mods do a good job but they don't notice everything , think if we all used our brains and watch what we post and hit the report button on illegal subjects others post the site would get better

Well, it looks like my post has opened a can of worms, probably for the good, as some messers are gone, and everyone else knows now what will and won't be tolerated. Obviously anything ilegal should be deleted, but I still think that hunting tales and pics from where it is legal should still be posted. If we stop posting LEGAL pics, then the anti's will be another step closer to beating us !!

 

It doesn't need a great interlect to see whats needed..... Moderation!!!! Mods should act swiftly to nip any dodgy post in the bud !!

agree 100% there as been a post on here and mentions using a dog in an illegal way and yet its still on , i didnt hit the report button just to see if it gets noticed but it hasent , they need more mods who are wiling to delete topics not just sit there and wait for another mod to do it

aye it still doesn,t make it any less provocative to anti types though charti whether its here or timbuctu historical or present day, think of it from the point of view from the antis, the anti brigade will see these bloody images as encouraging the the younger generation to go out and slaughter da foxes the deer and the next door neighbours cat just for a laugh,

 

even if the post is perfectly legal and presented in a respectful manner you will still have the half wits jumping on the thread with stupid comments who obviously have no respect for the quarry they hunt or the countryside around them and thats the crux of the matter

i agree with some of what you saying but if a topic goes tits up it seames there are a few members can insult everyone and no action taken some MODS are very friendly with them.

Obviously, (I hope), someone with a UK IP address can still post about things that are LEGAL in other countries, even if they are ILEGAL in the UK; so couldn;t the "warning" be worded to reflect that ? Some people may take the "warning" literally and refrain from posting what could be interesting and informative posts.

To be honest, this section causes more hassle than any other forum on here..

 

So what can be done?

 

Do we just monitor the forum and remove idiots on site..which could take a long long time.

 

Do we make it so members have to be approved by showing they are genuine, trustworthy and can spell their own name, time consuming still...

 

Do we remove the section all together

 

What should be done to improve things for everyone involved..give me some suggestions..

 

I can see both points of view.But i have to go with IanB.To many fools putting up photos that can only do us harm.Gave up my dogs last year because of the hassle the powers that be were giving us.
