Pictures should be backed up with a good verbal story the pictures should be of good taste and in context .

 

I think its very hard to police for the MODS the rights and wrongs of the pictures if there taken abroad where the said quarry is legal .

 

IanB what percentage is IPs of foreign location compared to UK based I bet very few so going on that the site despite being available to the world its membership is percentaged based UK which depicts how this subject should be addressed .

 

Still its nice to see a topic talked about in a balanced way.

Obviously, (I hope), someone with a UK IP address can still post about things that are LEGAL in other countries, even if they are ILEGAL in the UK; so couldn;t the "warning" be worded to reflect that ? Some people may take the "warning" literally and refrain from posting what could be interesting and informative posts.

To be honest, this section causes more hassle than any other forum on here..

 

So what can be done?

 

Do we just monitor the forum and remove idiots on site..which could take a long long time.

 

Do we make it so members have to be approved by showing they are genuine, trustworthy and can spell their own name, time consuming still...

 

Do we remove the section all together

 

What should be done to improve things for everyone involved..give me some suggestions..

The best section is the lurcher section,its why most of us come on here,But it needs moderating hard as i said on another topic lads wouldnt bother typing sh** if they knew it wasnt going to stay up,and they would get banned.Ive seen lads get banned one night and the next night come back on and restart the topic they got banned for the night before,You wouldnt need to be columbo to work that out. They should be banned again.but often arnt.Get a few more mods that arnt afraid to moderate(not aimed at any one). The genral section should be changed to current affairs or somthing to cut back on all the whats your favourite vegtable type threads.So lads making 50 posts aday might start making some on hunting instead of the place looking like face book.As said earlier by some one it just needs clear rules inforcing farely.Bit like a pack of hounds quite easy to keep order but bloody hard to get them back once rioting.

Are you for real? All hare coursing is illegal if you deliberately slip a dog on a hare. The only legal way to use a running dog, or any dog for that matter, on hares, is to shoot the hare first and send the dog to retrieve the shot hare.

 

No wonder the site is in the mess it is if even hunting men don't know the law!

no such thing of a closed site really , my point is the pic can be used on rspca and other sites to ban hunting so why would we put them up ?????? a good write up will not be use on other sites just twisted to look like we are gangs going out killing ,

them pic can end up anywhere in any country for the same thing , to ban hunting , as i said i am in ireland we can use lurcher to kill foxes, why help them put a ban on it with pic we gave them ????

But on the flip side in my opinion having such a big site with so many let's say il educated members with regards there postings, because its a open site, having it "open for all to enjoy" isn't doing our sport any favours at all!!.. It's just giving endless ammunition to the enemy In a war that's going to be hard enough to win without shite getting splattered about a open forum for them to use against us.. This never seams to be mentioned by mods or admin, do you/they think that having a open forum is really worth it?? What advantages does it bring against the above which I think is a HUGE disadvantage to our sport..

Sounder no offence mate but if people from legal countries post photos those could be used just as easy, there's 1000's of photos on google also that they can use so I don't think the odd one put up on here like charts cracking ozzy post a while back actually makes a difference, as chart said it would be a great shame not to be able to hear about these trips if your not breaking the law it should be aloud to be put up, or there winning already.

I'm not saying it would be super safe if they want in they will and don't understand the yawn. It is a very well run site and thl could learn alot from them. It was shocking when you linked this to facebook your mods are talking about it's for the good of the site on other points but did anyone think about how that would hurt the site. It seems very hypercritical. It seems this site want to be more commercial then anything, maybe to grab better sponsors or what but I think alot needs to be changed. Just my opinion no offence intended

Are anti's here causing problems? Is Facebook causing problems? NO, its some of the idiot members with two brain cells between them, posting anything without thinking or caring and then there's the simple ones who post with the mentality of a child.
