Perhaps it is a vain effort by the site administrators to try to save some people from themselves. How many times have we seen folks crying on here about 'the b*******ds' raiding their houses and taking their dogs etc after they have been flapping their mouths off on here about what they have been upto....reds, pigs, big rabbits, pre-ban etc? Wise up.

Any member's posting subject's of:

Poaching or Coursing Hare, Deer, Fox. Will be removed and banned unless your IP is outside the UK ??

I see many posts on here that are there to try and draw an illegal response from the brainless minority,who are only to eager to take the bait.Certain wannabe,s and feckwits also need protecting from themselves.Certain orgaisations trawl these sites for more ammunition to use against all of us.It takes something away from the site,but also protects it and the members who don,t seem to have the gumption to learn to work within the law,or at least seem to be.

 

The problem is...........................

 

There are people watching these sites, certain bodies, police,etc this section is rammed with idiots, that is plain to see...sorry but, it NEVER used to be this bad.

 

Certain people are foolish and post about dogs killing fox,deer, coursing. even if its illegal in their country, as I said people are watching.

 

Where does it end..Should it be allowed? Should idiots, some who can barely string a word together be allowed to damage things further ?

 

You tell me, do you love hunting? Its only going to get worse for everyone. But the people doing the damage, with a selfish couldn't care less attitude........just don't care about the lads holding onto things with a little common sense.

To be honest, this section causes more hassle than any other forum on here..

 

So what can be done?

 

Do we just monitor the forum and remove idiots on site..which could take a long long time.

 

Do we make it so members have to be approved by showing they are genuine, trustworthy and can spell their own name, time consuming still...

 

Do we remove the section all together

 

What should be done to improve things for everyone involved..give me some suggestions..

I don't see how my suggestion is pointless. Why not just say; "Posts relating to ilegal activites will be deleted and the poster banned" ? That would make more sense than the present warning.

if you want to clean up the site you need rules. then you need to enforce them. you need guidlines that are clear for all to see. that way its black or white. with no shades of grey. my thoughts are that some pics are ok. and some are not so where do you draw the line.

of course sensible people dont need told . but they are not the ones that cause trouble

Wouldn't the "warning" be better worded with something along the lines " Posts that show obvious ilegal activites will be deleted and the poster banned " ?

 

On some sites I have an Australian IP, and on here, I think, I have a UK one, so how can this be policed ? It seems a badly thought out and worded rule.

I'm not to clued up on this interweb stuff, but I assumed your IP address was the Provider you used when you registered for a site ? If it's as easy as you say to change your IP. then it must be impossible to ban someones IP address ? If I use my I Phone to log on at a Wi-Fi hot spot, don't I still have the same IP as if I had logged on at home with my PC ?

when i first started these hunting sites 7 years ago, i was always of the opinion that pre ban pics and topics should be fine... but there not!! during my stint on these sites i see photos stolen from the site and used against hunting, even pictures involving snaring... i'd love to see topics of lurchers and foxes etc but theres too many eejits thinkin that there safe because they use stupid terminology like 'big reds', 'big ears' or pigs!! surely they dont believe that the laws and courts or that stupid?? when they come knockin on your door they dont have to prove that your guilty as much as you having to prove that your innocent... not an easy thing to do when you have a shelf full of lurcher books, hunting dvds and perhaps a lurcher in the yard with a scratch from a bramble on its nose!!
