rabbit question

Recommended Posts

So, my little whippet x had her first rabbit this morning !! happy days.

However, i think the rabbit was diseased. The corners of both eyes (where the tear duct would be if they had them) was inflamed and peeled back, leaving very sore looking flaps. I don't think i was myxomatosis as that usually causes swelling around the eyes.

Any ideas?

My main concern is that my dog won't catch what ever the rabbit had.

Also, i wasn't sure what to do with it, so i dispatched it and left it in the wood where i found it.

TIA

my advice.....although a horrible affliction a wee outbreak of mixy leaving rabbits with some differing degrees of disability can be the making of a pup....get it back out there, if your lucky they'll get a seasons experience catching in a month, come feb or march the pup will be like an old hand
