Lurcher Breeding

Recommended Posts

bryn is a cracker by all accounts, his owner ray is a gentleman and he'll tell you straight about the dogs strength's and weaknesses, i know it's a tough decision to make mate so no one will mind you asking them questions, one thing that hasn't been mentioned whatever you choose you'll get to see the litter dailly and be able to pick the pup with the characteristics that you like, ie raciest, boldest, brightest etc atb

Yea id say another 3/4 gh 1/4collie x unless u think ur bitch is missing summit then look to add that quality

Personally i wouldn't put another 3/4 grey 1/4 collie over a 3/4 bred already, as in my opinion i think the progeny would be too greyhoundy and possibly have no wind and shit feet. Just my opinion chaps  Cheers Atb

Ya i wouldnt either, You'll lend up with a gloryfied Gh....

What sort of ground and quarry you intending too hunt? I think personal Sal types mix well with Collie types and make half decent alrounders for ediable game but thats just my prefernce Or D/hxGh type.

But Ray's Bryn is a very decent first cross and iam sure you'll keep alot of what youve mentioned you like about your bitch as iam sure Bryns very simalar in work style but i know he's a real good bushing dog also

Totally agree with what paul says above, sound advice :victory: Atb

Thanks for the pictures, he looks a nice dog and fairly handy by the rabbits he has caught, I seen from some posts that Bryns a 1st cross collie greyhound, seeing as my bitch is 3/4 greyhound what percentage would the pups be? I'm no good at percentages lol.
