milegajo 595
Courtesy of Highland Outdoors, the back of my 'comic books' tell me its the Webley Raider 10 XS (see http://1nomad.blogspot.com/2011/05/cautious-corvid-thursday-280411.html). Don't believe it though. In my experience, the best value gun is probably an AA s200 but most likely its the S410. Edited August 27, 2012 by milegajo 1 Quote Link to post
Tron 173
The early Webley raiders were OK but the Turkish replacements can be a pain in the A**. the pressure gauge in those is held into position by a 3 m/m brass thread which is very easy to shear off if you catch or knock it when its off the stock which then becomes a bigger job stripping the rest of it to drill out and retap the valve body! I had such a job about 3 months ago and Tony Wall advised me not to get involved he said he wouldnt work on them from his past experience. also the one I repaired had a leak from the filling valve which when investigated was caused by moisture etching the valve seat, a recut or replacement is the only cure. as for the other suggestions on here then I concur With Miles and Buster the AA 400/410 rifle is extremely easy to strip and repair a Great rifle. robwelsh 354
What do you get with that mk3 because 700 is abit of a piss take lol I was going to get a s410 because of all the points stated above. But fell in love with my gaystate lol what about the brococks? I'm looking at buying a contour super6 they seem pretty good for the money, but poor shot count, slightly less than a ultra. I don't like the ultras cocking mech, but for the money of a brand new multishot I don't think it can be beaten. Stear clear of the Webley xs10 I had the shop get one in for me to have a nose at. Firstly the wood looked like Brown plastic, no life. Then there was the butt pad white plate was thicker in some places than others. The thing sticking off the side to hold mag in was rattling. The barrel band looked like it was holding barrel off centre. All those things built up in my head an I looked at the guy an we both sniggered, he said "not for you mate?" Reply was "f#@k no " lol I don't like things that look n feel thrown together, an it was possibly the worst gun iv looked at, my kids cometa 50 felt more solid, reliable an not rushed lol good luck Quote Link to post
GruffaloGriff 1,859
Thanks for the advise guys. I went for the aas410 classic. Picked one up on gunst*r for £300 delivered. Mint condition 2 x10 shot mags, moderator, fill adapter, carry bag, less than a tin of pellets through it and still in original box. So think is was a good deal. Just need a fill bottle/ pump and a scope now. 1 Quote Link to post

jackinbox99 41
Another vote for s410 from me. Easy to maintain, and I've serviced mine every 3 years cheaply. Mega accurate and loads of shots per fill. I've had no end of rabbits with it. You can pick them up for around 350 to 400 depending on what kit its with. Quote Link to post

Nice bloke to deal with and a genuine deal. No worries about origin. Quote Link to post
