I your right millet, ive flew an imprint spar and there not for novices or kids at falconry center's . Fantastic little birds and are very under rated, also was lucky enough whilst darn sarf to witn

There is more to falconry than most folk think..although i think you are messing about when you say you are thinking of giving the lurcher's up..if you do decide to go the falconry route take your time to learn a good year before you think about getting a hawk.

Just watched the vid and i was not impressed..fancy have that poor sparrow hawk on a display..they are as wild as tit's a the best of time's so you can imagine how stressed it was..my money would be on it having no tail left by the end of the day the way it was bating about with no tail guard on it.. :blink:

Good advice from millet, i got into falconry while at school and when i left i got a job doing bird control on the airbases and refuse sites down south. Had a good crack as a seventeen year old living on my own down there with my birds, when i think what i paid for a harris back then. But gave it all up when i met a falconer down there who used to dig and lamp. Thats when i got on the rocky road to dogs ! LOL :thumbs: Cheers Atb

how do you get fit and no them are fit

 

Just get them free flying to the fist again as they are left in the aviary during the moult ;) , a couple of days free flying brings them back to full fitness levels plus we fly them around factories and that scaring problem birds away :victory:
