richie198 28 Posted August 25, 2012 Report Share Posted August 25, 2012 Alright lads im just wondering does anybody know the life expectancy from the lithium batteries i have a 12 volt 14 amp this will be its third season coming and took a trip out lamped spot for about 20 minutes headed to another spot went on to the land turned lamp on and it just died no power in battery and it was fully charged Quote Link to post

nobjerk 161 Posted August 27, 2012 Report Share Posted August 27, 2012 in some of the older nimh batteries on drills etc they have a type of memory , so if you constantly charge them from a point other than empty they tend to remember and work to those parameters. not sure if its the same for liion but an expensive lesson to learn either way i got a spare 12v 7ah yuhasa brand new that you can have if you pay for the post . Ah mate its grand i have another battery their im just sick this has happened to the lithium one i used to run if flat to charge not all the time but most of the time. sure maybe the next one will be better thanks for the reply mate and thanks for the offer of the battery. Millet 4,497 Posted September 12, 2012 Report Share Posted September 12, 2012 The lithion Ion batteries don't have a memory like the sealed lead acid type's..they can be charged any time empty or half full and it will not effect them..i have a 10 amp one here that has had around 4 season's work and it is still going strong..
