it was quiet today which is a shame as this could be a good day out. my son just loves the northwest reptile club.

Is that his nickname for MWLTC?

I was sort of planning to come over today, but saw the rain and couldn't get motivated ........ what I need is some of that Paramo waterproof gear .......... :whistling:

I wish mate, he wants a snake, always has done, we spent the best part of an hour with them. My bitch kept looking at the snakes like they were chew sticks, after biting a toad in half last week i think she is changing quarry type.

A huge thank you from the club to all who braved the elements today, especially the judges, it really shouldn't have gone on with the rain battering down but when folk have paid their entrance fee 'the show must go on'...!

Christian, our terrier judge, done some stirling work with the few terriers there and as he said, Chettys dog was a deserved winner, an outstanding animal that has a formidable reputation at work and can compete with the best of 'em in a ring, anywhere.

Though Christian did let himself down quite badly and was seen taking bribes in the ring from a young lady with a borrowed whippet! :whistling:

Peter, the lurcher judge aquitted himself well too, the winning dog was a beauty. With the classes well down on entrants it allowed him to head up north to Scotland to catch a ferry back across to Belfast.

Oh yer, Vosey, next time come over for a chat, i've not clapped eyes on you since we were kids ratting on the tip.

I will mate. I did come over twice never paid attention to who was around, I had my b/t bitch and my youngest lad with me, watched the terrier pups class and the end of the lurcher racing, that deerhound was worth the entrance fee.

One day it will be sunny for this show and it will be chokka.
