borderterrier 0
There are many recipes for Squirrel on the internet, but has anyone ever tasted them. What do they taste like ??
Guest floyd
Only had it once (just to try it) we stuck it under the grill. It was fairly tough  and you don't get much meat on just one. Was a fairly strong taste a bit like rabbit in a way. If I were to try it again I'd stick a coulpe in a casserole.
borderterrier 0
It was in the paper yesterday that an estimated 20,000 grey squirrels are causing havoc in the Forest of Dean. Looks like you guys down that way need to get the casserole dish out.

Guest Dan Grimes
A lot of us eat squirrel in the States. In fact I like it better than rabbit. The meat has a more spicy taste than rabbit. It is better if boiled first and then rolled in flour and fried. By boiling it first it tenderizes the meat. I have even ate it deep fried and it was good that way also. Like anything else, it is what you get used to while growing up. Some of us eat snapping turtle also. I don't know if you do or not. Maybe you don't even have them over there, I don't know. Dan
