Elliott 436
It was 8.30pm when the last golfer left the course. I'd been waiting a good half hour for the place to go quiet so that I could make an impression on the rabbit numbers. I spent the time walking the course, rifle in slip, familiarising myself with the land and in the process counted upwards of 15 rabbits. I'd decided to take the HW77K out tonight after my scope calibration session to see what I could do. In my right pocket, mixed in with the pocket fluff, were a handfull of Rangemaster Li's. There's something simplistically pleasing about springers which is why I have never been in the habit of weighing, washing and lubing my pellets.. perhaps one day. The light was getting the better of me and after missing two short-range standing shots I was becoming a little peeved until a 35m rabbit presented itself, enabling me to go prone. I threaded the shot through 'the rough' which I was using as cover and the placement couldn't have been better, penetrating just behind the eye. One mil dot holdover and a textbook shot if there ever was one. After that the light faded and I paunched the rabbit with the help of my newly aquired headtorch which proved very handy after my last solo outing on the golf course. I really need to invest in a good quality scope mounted lamp. All suggestions welcome! 1 Quote Link to post

Elliott 436
Nice one, there were quite a few about lasy night. Funny you mention the foxes, I saw two in the bunker near the 13th. Not sure if they were cubs, it was pretty dark If the weather's fine we could maybe nip out tonight? Quote Link to post

C3PO 118
Good shooting. I'd recommend the Tracer LEDRay GL2 or GL4. Owned the GL2 myself and it was very good indeed. Buy from here: http://www.deben.com/gun-lights.html Quote Link to post

Buy from here: http://www.deben.com/gun-lights.html Thanks, they look good. I've been looking at these too: http://www.taclight.co.uk/dereelight/night-master.html Slightly more expensive because all the add ons are optional extras. You can buy red LED's rather than the conventional filter so the beam is just as bright. I reckon it will be about £150 for the job lot Quote Link to post

silentshot1 206
I love the 77k. and really like it in the 97 stock, Having bought and trashed one replacement stock for my '77k, I don't think I'll replace it again, after all, it's an all weather gun, but I do like the look, .
