gnipper 6,426
I can take it or leave it, always have been able to but if I'm out on the town I'll have too much and probably become a pain in the arse but that's ok coz I'd be too off my tits to care and rarely remember afterwards but there comes a time in most folks lives when they need to grow up. Got better things to spend my cash on now and she's just turned

Malt 379
Don't drink much these days, can't be arsed with the hangovers. I have the odd beer in the house, but like Wilf, I don't class that as a 'drink'. Very rare I'll have a proper drink, and it's usually when it's a family member or a close friends birthday. Used to have a drink most Fridays after work, used to be a bit of a ritual. Stones in the old mixer at 3.30, of the job at 4' then intend on having the one or two to wash the dust down! You'd meet up with all the other trades off different jobs in the local, start having the craic, have way more than you intended and after a while the pub phone ringing off the hook as the wives were getting pissed off! Witnessed many a domestic argument as the women came in to drag the blokes home! Seen quite a few marriages and relationships ended through it all though when people don't know when to draw the line, so never really took the piss like some folk do. The Duncan 802
sometimes a touch of alcohol saves relationships, or prolongs the agony? Edited August 23, 2012 by The Duncan
Malt 379
sometimes a touch of alcohol saves relationships, or prolongs the agony? I'd say very rarely mate. I've seen plenty of relationships where alcohol is heavily involved by one or both partners and not many of them would appeal to me...
scothunter 12,609
Me and drink was never a good mix. Didnt have a drunk problem, it's just I couldn't behave like a normal person when I was drunk. Always on the face of a battle, decided one night to knock it on the head, never looked back. Always had strong will!
