plummer was a great writer at the time books of the like had never been seen -- he gleaned information from old vet and dog books and passed it off as his own if he could`nt get informaton about terriermen he made it up -- he made a fantesy world of which he lived out in his books his downfall was when he turned his back on working dog lads -- for those that know the rest is history -- if you can put all the bullshit to one side that went with plummer and treat his books for what they are you may find them of interest ..

The Fell terrier was my favourite at the time, but turned out to be full of lies,. Dig deep-throw well back, and the world of the working terrier were worth reading. The rest are just money making cash in jobs.
