hi

all it is i have 2 border terriers 1dog & 1bitch

both just over a year old mainly use them for bushing and ratting

the little bitch is keen as musterd killed a mink lots of rabbits and rats

they bush well for my mates beddy whippet but the dog is doing ok but has not come on as

fast as her but over the last 2 or 3 weeks he is wanting to fight with my mates dog and his young terrier and standing his ground with my bitch if she catches anything is this frustrashion because he is not doing as well

or is he just trying to be leader of the pack so to say when he gets going to his work he is a us full dog

but tends to be abit lazy sometimes and frustrating when he wants to fight.

Sounds like his second testosterone surge, mate. Try this:

Put a half check collar on him (Martindale? Martingale? Collar with a ring at each end and a chain through those. Strong Stuff can probably sort ye out)

Then attatch a good lead and bring him into the sort of situation likely to cause him to play up. When he goes to start, tell him to sit. He'll likely ignore ye. Soon as he does so, rip him sideways. Then tell him to sit.

You are His Pack Leader. He f*cking well does as You decide. He doesn't try to second guess ye. Just reinforce that small point in his mind and he'll get over it.

Ditch gotta agree martindale collars are the best traiing collar i have used, my 6 year old dobermann still wears one all the time and it is great for controlling them.

gun smoke sounds like a young terrier dog letting its balls drop, need to let him know you are in charge good luck.
