I know you can use the buttolo Roe caller to bring in munty bucks in rut but is there a caller that imitates their barking at all ?

yes its called a dog there is no rutting season for muntjac as such, does are fertile at about 8 months, their gestation period is 7 months so as a doe is feedind a fawn she will also be pregnant again. contary to popular belief i have seen groups of does playing much like hares.

Yeh I know mate it was late I was tired lol just wondered if there was a muntjac bark caller at all as I know if they're split up say a doe from it's fawn the doe will bark to it's young as do Bucks separated from Does.

the bark is mainly used as a warning call and the bleet as a distress call

I have found using a rabbit distress call for foxes works if they are in the area I think it more to do with them being curious though then coming for a given reason. I have not had any joy in using a bark caller other then it stops them from walking for a few seconds to take a shot.
