scothunter 12,609
I'm wrong cause you don't think like that. As for them keeping lurchers. What's that got to do with anything! They still don't mix. ( well majority don't) Nah I'm not going begging for permission from keepers. Beat thier own birds. Oh And I don't moan about getting caught. No need to poach these days.

paulus 26
we dog lads were stiched up with the last hunting act, i marched twice as did many other lads and lasses i know, do i blame the shooters, the anglers ect, NO, I BLAME THE ORGANISATIONS THAT REPRESENT THESE GROUPS, because rather than fighting together they all looked after their own pockets and any future threat will have the same outcome, dog lads dont generate enough income to be significant. all would throw us to the wolves if it ment saving their own sport.

That's why there should only be one organisation looking after the interests of all fieldsports, whether it be for hunting shooting or fishing. We are divided at the moment. tegater 789
Look at all the amalgamations that are taking place though, in the army for example and there is a lot of history there, but the money these organisations could save by amalgamating, and then put to some use like fighting lacs etc. Surely it makes sense, but I know what you mean, they all want to hold onto what they have and dont want to lose control. If all the hunters shooters and fishermen, were all added up in this country and fought as one, it would be one hell of a large organisation. You stated that most keepers on those estates, ie grouse estates, dispise lurcher boys, I was mearly pointing out that the vast majority of them are infact lurcher & terrier boys themselves so how u come that opinion I don't know.. Guest Leveller
The League are going "all in" this season, they've sold almost all their assets and their employing more monitors some of whom are ex-wildlife crime police officers and they will be absolutely deperate for any convictions at all to help them drum up support, be warned they are sly and will act outside the law trespassing and using covert cameras. On the plus side if we can all get through this winter with a clean sheet then LACS will be seriously in the shit unless Brian May dies of TB and leaves them a few quid they'll be crippled this time next year you don't have to be an accountant to work that out.

The thing is theirs a bloody good reason alot of keepers dont like lurcher lads as most have had experiences with poachers messing up the ground, turning up mob handed and not leaving when asked it gets on alot of peoples wick just get some permission, Im not saying all lurcher lads should be tarred with the same brush but a fair amount are letting the side down by acting like D!cks , It doesnt look good for the rest of decent respectful lads its a shame really. Catcher 1 639
They look like the IRA. It would be easier to deal with if they were the IRA, Ideation. That's what fecks me off mate, they dress like that and act in a way that's meant to intimidate people, and yet if you deal with them in the same way, they go crying to the authorities. They are just ignorant folk, lacking respect for anyone elses way of life. How a lot of threads get pulled.
