Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
6-2 shouldnt that be 2-6 lol. there supposted to be ok guns but you can get them for about £100 new apparently Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
No it is not a good price, it is a bleeding rip off! Say no! The scope is £30-40, mounts a tenner, gun £130 tops, that is your £180, you should pay about 60% of what a gun cost for secondhand value, so that should be round about £100. Good guns, basically the same gun as a Webley Stingray mark 2. Have a look here...http://www.woodfield-gcp.co.uk/Hatsan.htm Quote Link to post
jsb 6
okay thanks lads i think ill give it a miss, would i be able to walk to my permission with a rifle in a case its not on any streets from my house its just up a lane to a farm baring in mind im only 14 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
No no no! You are on a public right of way with an air rifle. You cannot legally own one, lots of trouble if ever someone gets bored and reports you! You would have to be accompanied by an adult (ie someone over 18). Pain in the backside I know, I used to cycle everywhere with my dads Super Meteor strapped to the crossbar of my bike when I was 14, but now I am 43, laws have changed! 1 Quote Link to post
jsb 6
cheers mate thats a kick in the teeth. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
I know, but think this way, it is only 4 years till you can walk everywhere with it! Might be worth asking if you can leave it at your permission holders, that way they know when you are there shooting so you check in and out every time with it! 1 Quote Link to post
Lewis Ste 245
How far is the land from your house? Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Sudden thought, big sudden thought, does your house sit next to your permission, ie you go through the hedge and you are on your permission owners land??? Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Same gun, 500 AAF Pellets, 50 paper targets, 6x40 scope and slip all for £130 from an RFD I considder to be a rip off merchant. So £180 second hand is outrageous Follow the advice above re age and permission Tony 1 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Seconded Tony But it's a bit rough to read of some worthless rat preying on a keen youngster's trust and enthusiasm with way over-priced piles of tat; and that is low and disgusting to me. Don't you worry JSB lad, anything you are not certain of, or want to know more about something, you just come here and ask us first before you act. I promise you mate, we'll only tell you how it honestly is and what you can and cannot honestly do.. Seems you've got off to a good start getting a permission so young and no mention of the rifle you have use of already, to go hunt with. You do have adult supervision, of course young fella? Don't want to see a promising shooting and hunting life begin with a run- in with the law! Pianoman Quote Link to post
jsb 6
thanks pianoman and yes lads the permission is through my backgate and up a small lane Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
It is up the small lane bit that is the problem. Can you get out of your house and to the permission without setting foot on a public highway or footpath? If the road from your house to the permission is a private road then, as long as it belongs to the permission holder you can walk up it! If you can get directly from your house to your permission holders land (ie straight through the hedge job), without crossing any public footpaths or highways then you are ok again. I know it sounds stupid, but the law can be, very! Edited August 18, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
