Been out for a walk this morning to see how many rabbits was about but only rabbits I saw was the ones on the floor dead with MIXY!! As any one else seen this it about?

Not yet mate thankfully mixy compleatly wrecked our last season it was the worst season we have had for years you always get a bit of the dreaded mixy but last season it hammered most of our permissions we were getting 1 rabbit out of burys we normaly got 12 odd from most years really hopeing we don't get the same this season

Think I'm gunna try ad do the same mate but a lot of the rabbits live in the wood so don't think I have much of a chance but I can try for nothing

Cheers for ur replys I no that mixy is a flea but how does it get place to place as I have never seen mixy in a 5 mile radius of my permission?

farmers, if a farmer has a rabbit problem he will catch a mixy rabbit somewhere else and then put it down his warrens to wipe them out.

This wet damp weather don't help the spread of it either Mixi will spread like wild fire through fleas and mosquetios ( can't spell it ) I also believe people are still putting it down in places but around my area it's had a real bad effects on the population it's a cruel disease.

Yeah it is wrong and ruins good sport, ferreting, shooting or running the dogs, its a shame and no dobut will be around again soon.

there was rabbits with mixy around most parts of south wales some parts worse than others,,its heart breaking to see,i know we hunt the rabbit but nobody wants to see them suffering,,a bad disease that!

your right there storm.this wet weather spreads it quicker as rabbits seeks shelter in there burrows.
