j1985 1,983
In the last week my misses was told by a bloke with a whippet pup that lurchers only have rough coats and if it's got a short coat it's a greyhound, and I was asked by a women with a old lurcher I bumped into if my bitch was a pure bred lurcher ? I replied as pure as a dog made up of 3 different breeds can be.....She looked at me like I was a retard!! I'm pretty sure I'm not lol Had anyone else heard any equally stupid myths or stories about lurchers ? Quote Link to post

walshie 2,804
Some old dear saw my ridgeback killing a squirrel up the park. She was quite interested in her "hunting prowess" and asked me what she was crossed with. I said she was 100% ridgeback and this lady said "Oh I didn't know they hunted small stuff. I thought they only hunted lions." Next time I see a lion up the park, I'll keep you updated. 3 Quote Link to post
