I'd take the dog a wee walk mate see how he is jus round stock etc and if he has any interest at all defo done the right thing taking him on tho might help re locating a home if you can give alittle first hand knowledge of how he is in the field or whether he's just a pet so folk know what they're gonae take on all the best

[bANNED TEXT] heres what happened on the walk...he was great on the lead got him within 10 feet ho horses in an open field he pricked his ears up had a look then continued sniffing away...he can jump like theres no tomorrow..i was leading him up to a gate to tie him up to get a pic and he cleared the 5 bar gate effortlessly ....he was keen on rabbit shit and runs through the grass hence nose to the floor.....i tried him off lead in an enclosed empty field he had a daft run and was straight back to heel
