after a day out with goshawk

hi all seffa here im saving for female gos next season ive seen a few when up the dales when i had a harris but only on folks arms im after a mooch out with a working gos when the seasons up and running also after breeder contact for a large female cheers seffa

not the easiest bird to start with, but imho you are better starting with the sort of bird you want too fly in the long run, cannot see the point in getting a Harris if say you wanto fly a Goshawk. It's just a case of finding a mentor that fly's goshawk to wise you up,and give you some insight to their particular needs and time in the field and managing one's day to day needs. again a fair amount of basic knowledge can be gained from reading decent books. Maybe also worth mentioning is to factor in a telemetry unit in your budget, whilst saving to buy bird mews gear, you will need one at some point , good luck

They are not as bad as folk think if they are manned correctly and plenty of game is put infront of them..that is the key with a gos as they get bored realy quick if they are not killing regular..and that is where the shite can ht the fan.. :D

Many thanks John for the comments mate :thumbs:. I'm now finished doing the Goshawks with all the breeding birds going to pals and the like....
