Not every dog is going to work, but i bet you any money you will not find a more consistent producing line anywhere. As you say you have only seen two go...

I've seen one JP terrier (Park) go and it was decent, if a little too keen to take punishment.

I've yet to Read J.P. Biggin his dogs up ! Harcombe rates what he's seen in JPs lines And he see's this Type Week in Week out ! 1 or 2 knocking the man proves how good his lines are because surely if they where as ,bad as some say surely there'd be more Knocking him ! As for Money it always makes me Laugh when people say about making money , The Dolla ect ect , in no other walk off life would anybody be knocked for charging someone for a Product that gives you your pleasure/sport or in your line of work I.e. gamekeeper or Pest Controller , I don't see posts saying "I went to the football and they had the cheek to charge me too get in" or "how can the local garden centre SELL there plants" . . I don't hear Bellman &Flint knocked for Selling there Product , Also those who have said the dogs they've seen couldn't find in a phone box a Question for you's . . Was That Dog Entered Correctly . . Are You Sure Its Not The Dog Who Was A Failure But Your Inexperience In Other Words Your The Problem ? Now I'm not saying that's the case but who's to say it isn't !! Yes There's Others who Breed Good Stuff No One Hears/knows about And the only way JPs lines are well known is because Harcombe has an Audience off 1000s through his mag and he comments on what he see's , he can't comment on a Type he doesn't know or see !

Never met Harcombe only dealings iv had with him was with the mag,got to say a few years ago a mates lurchers went missing from kennels my mate phoned Harcombe he couldnt be more helpful putting an advert in the mag straight away even though the lad had never bought a mag.

Any man that is still out hunting at his age deserves some credit, but like has been said before its not wise to believe everything you read in a book, i've yet to see a book written about failed digs and jacking dogs but i bet if all the "big names" did a chapter each it would be thicker than the Encylopedia Britanica....
