johnny boy68 11,726
didnt she win a fare few shows? She won a few shows BUT her working ability was never in question, not any of the times I seen her go. The bitch was a good honest dog imo and worthy of breeding off so I'm not surprised that JP used her in his lines. 1 Link to post

johnny boy68 11,726
so how was she bred then or is it hush hush? She was bred by the guy(Tony I think?) who we picked her up off, no names in her breeding at least he didn't give any. The guy was honest about her, everything he said about her was spot on. I think he was either the terrierman or his mate was for a hunt out Leamington Spa way, we met him in a service station on the M5. My mate bought the bitch after losing a good dog, she was advertised in the Shooting News. Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Probably get f****d for this but here goes . Im an all round fox controller.I use many methods of control to help out landowners in the never ending battle against charlie .Dont get me wrong ,terrier work is my lifelong passion but its not the way to control fox numbers properly but merely a tool to this end .A while ago ,i shot a pair joined with a rifle and put the pic on here which mr H went to town on in the mag but at the same time he is justly proud of shooting a pair in a stop end .The double standards he lives by are amusing to someone who sees the bigger picture. Makes me smile how bitter he gets about the midnight cowboys ,the very same attitude that drives many shooters to shoot more foxes in hunt country .He seems to dig his fair share of foxes and openly states he is doing it in the name of controlling a pest for the farmers but dosnt want anyone else to lend a hand outside his little clique or to kill a bigger tally with a rifle . I get the mag ,have his books but dont look up to him as a god like some do ,just a bloke doing his thing . 4 Link to post

pattstaff 157
Foxdropper Im going to stick my neck out and speak for DH and many other men who hunt with dogs. Theres many people who go out shooting foxes on the lamp for fun and not to kill problem foxes. The problem with this is that its just to effective and a whole county can be decimated in one night. I think its mostly this type that DH is harping on about. A boy was on here last year with I think 40 foxes hung over a gate that him and his pal had shot in one night and only stopped because the battery ran out. Doggy men have some ejjits in their ranks but so sadly do shooters. 6 Link to post
