Cheers for the pics chaps, it is better off side but i still think it is a weak point were the connector goes into the battery and if mine would still do some mods on them. As if the lead gets jerked or gets pulled at full stretch for whatever reason i think that connector will fook up as it is just not robust enough for the job. Deben really should have gone back to the drawing board with this and came up with a better design. Just my thoughts gents Cheers Atb

I agree 100% with you on that ..them old jack plug's on the old Laserlite/Clulite are much more robust and would of been a better option IMO.

all that money and eveyone is taping everything up me encluded, that cigar socket on mine is the major problem, i tried to direct wire my other one and as has been said the wires just melted and fecked the battery

From the moment I got mine I knew that plug and socket were shite..!! Think I tried it once and it popped out a few times so I changed things.

I first cut the wire and put a rubber 2 pin connector on it, low down, the same type used on lawnmowers, as I hate cigar plugs. Then it was the same cable tie job as in Freelance's photos, where the wire (and so the plug) is made stable against the battery. Never bothered with tape, messy, sticky pain in the arse. Never had a problem all last season.

its on a webbing belt. the wire goes through the belt, running 2 dogs on your own everything has to be user friendly
