Lads, you should not have to be making those sort of modifications to equipment costing that much money!

Your dead right SS,mine start acting the bollox a few weeks after i got it and i should of send it back straight away,but my gel battery was knackered and it was still working all be it with a few problems ,and i was lamping 4 or 5 nights a week and didn't have the patience to wait a couple of weeks for a new one to come out to me ,but hindsight and all that wish i did now Edited by lurcher330

your spot on there strong stuff. it does piss you off after paying all thet money for something it doesnt peform properly, but to be honest ive found all deben stuff is good as long as you make some small alterations.

Iv just bought one, hope this doesn't happen.do you lads leave it all connected up or take it apart every time you're finished? Deben warranty says they won't touch them if they have been fiddled/ fixed.bad crack considering the price.

 

i always cut the tape off from around my conector everytime i have finished, the reason being i have the lid closed on the battery pack when out and i need to open it to put the charger in.

 

those deben plugs have always been a pain in the arse even on there other battery packs. but ive learnt to live with it and make my own mod cons :thumbs:

So when i got my second one i did the same as trigger and taped the top in and put a connector on to take tension off the connector. There a shite design for the amount of money you pay for them, but i wouldn't go back to lugging a 17amp drycell round with me. :thumbs: Cheers Atb

ive got one never have anyprobelms ... but just bought new connection that theyve made ... that comes out at the side seems to be doing the trick and is alot easyier to tape down with out wrecking connection ill try sort some pics

Keeganrees can the new connector be fitted to the older units, like mine in the pics above ? And yeah get some pics of it up so i can get an idea what they look like :thumbs: Cheers atb
