Guest bullterrier
i think its a top signing and it definately puts a clear message out to the bitter blues that there are still players out there who prefer history, tradition and heritage over cash it shows that utd can still compete with citys vast wealth, they can attract players away from City because of everything the club and the manager stands for. as for his age,i think the best is yet to come from rvp, remember teddy beating city to the signing of a quality player like rvp sends out a message, that we intend to get our title back this year after all,for all citys money they only scored more goals than utd last season and we played nowhere near our best but fergies defo up for it and so am i Bitter Blues ???? i think not Craig , they have lived in your shadow for yrs suffered numerous relegations But now in the space off a couple off seasons there your rivals so i wouldnt say that would create bitterness , you think he has signed for history , tradition and heritage .... WHAT like Rooney did when he signed his new contract last yr after holdin the club too ransom to match what city could pay him , RVP will be getting Millions for this deal which Arsenal wouldnt/couldnt match and whichever way you paint it thats the top and bottom off it MONEY ! with all due respect mate, your a gooner from the iom so im thinking you dont regularly mix wi city fans, believe me theyre bitter kunts always have been and always will be towards the better half of mcr and rvp could of walked that well trodden path between the emirates and the shitiad stadium but he chose not too, your not telling me he chose utd over shitty purely for the money i think not lol and i forgot your from manchester???,,,,,,, and your from were

dytkos 17,863
RVP gets a nice earner, his last chance realistically of winning major trophies over the next few seasons. Fergie gets, in all honesty a brilliant player (when fit). City don't get him, Arsenal pocket big bucks for a player who was obviously wanting away and it's seems that yet again the Arsenal are more concerned with collecting money than silverware. It will be an interesting Prem again this year. Cheers, D.
Hob&Jill 258
As an Arsenal fan I am gutted but can see why he wanted to go. My club has no ambitions of trophies any more, just making money. Shame it has to be to a rival. Not going to lie, its going to make me feel sick seeing him in that shirt. Still, I will blindly follow the corporate business of Arsenal, like a true brainwashed fan I do still think we will make top 4, not sure how but we always seem to pull if off somehow. Liverpool have apparently tapped him up (it happens) , so at this moment are Liverpool a better chance of winnin Major honours than Fulham ... Malt 379
Liverpool are a bigger team than Fulham, are they not..? Face it, as well as the mercenaries who flock to the sugar daddy clubs there are still plenty of players who dream of playing for the worlds top/elite clubs. Liverpool are one of them, Fulham are not. It's a no brainer IMO...

I'm deadly serious mate. You go outside the country and I guarantee you that more people will have heard of Liverpool than will have heard of Fulham, and that includes the USA where Clint Demsey grew up.. So that means there POPULAR / WELL KNOWN , So would you class L.A.Galaxy in that ELITE Band , since Beckham went there they are Known All over the WORLD more so than most Premier league clubs

People knowing the name of the team who David Beckham currently plays for don't mean that it's suddenly a big club. IMO that's a bit of a poor argument if I'm honest mate! Haha im usin L.A.Galaxy as a pointer to your Argument that Liverpool are 1 off the WORLDS ELITE/TOP CLUBS , I replied that They hadnt won the Title for over 20 yrs , you responded that they would be better known outside this country than Fulham including America , well if thats what makes them Elite then surely that makes The Galaxy Elite going by your view on Liverpool/Fulham. Not at all mate, quite the opposite! Beckham is an iconic footballer, so he is recognised the world over despite who he plays for. Iconic clubs work the same way IMO. Do you really not think Liverpool are a bigger and more prestigious club than Fulham in world football though?
