ferretville 69
Ok lads and lasses in your opinion who do you think has getting the best deal for R.V.P Arsenal or Man Utd ? Can see plus points for both teams with Man Utd getting a top striker in his prime . As for Arsenal 20 odd million aint bad going for a player in his last year . Lets here your views and roll on saturday for the big kick off

ferretville 69
No sell on value for Man Utd . Dont think Arsenal really wanted to sell him to 1 of there main rivals but think the money was to good to turn down .
MrsChamp606 553
His class is clear, his injury record isn't the best, five year contract on silly amount a week will probably be the deal but in the context of the last 2 years inflated transfer fees I think 20 million for the highest scorer in the league last year is a bit of a snip when you compare it to transfers like Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson, Stuart downing. Fergy doesn't get many wrong ( veron, paborski, barthez and selling jaap stam ) we will see
gnasher16 30,046
I think it says a lot about where Arsenal are at as a club..................they just dont see Utd or City as rivals anymore and are content to sit a level below them........Cliche and Nasri sold to City now Van Persie to Utd their 3 best players to the 2 top teams in the league....if they thought they was contesting the title with them they wouldnt of let their best players go their.............i feel sorry for Arsenal fans.....as an Arsenal pal of mine says " Arsenal take the most from their fans....and give the least back "
Lab 10,979
Looks a good signing to me....Top class player going to play alongside more top class players. Could fall into place for him and be a hero or he might struggle like Torres when he went to Chelsea. Can see him scoring plenty................Bet Rooney will thrive too with someone like that to play alongside... And really you cant blame RVP...probably sees that Arsenal have a lack of ambition...he wants to win stuff..
ferretville 69
Gnasher i think Arsenal have gone backwards in the last few years . Never really replaced seaman with a top keeper , same in defence and midfield . But i would still expect them to still be up there in the top four but Arsenal fans want more than just top four . They have just lost there top player but may be there new signings will do well . The R.V.P. money will be banked . The prices for players now a days is ridiculous way over the top and the bloody agents dont help either pushing the feees up .
stewie 3,387
Breaking News...... RVP fails medical at Man United. Doctor says it's a back problem from carrying Arsenal for the last 4 years.......

The promise Arsenal fans got before going into the Emirates was that the team on the pitch would not be sacrificed for the debt of the new ground...................at Highbury they regularly won trophies ......yet since moving into the Emirates they havent won a sausage !...............They exploit their fans loyalty,Van Persie could of been sold weeks ago....Arsenal have a policy that all season ticket holders must have their ticket bought by July 1st.........funny how they wait till the tickets are sold and only then sell their best player !..................Id feel a little bit short changed if i was a season ticket holder....particularly when they are the most expensive tickets in Europe !!
