243ACK 36
Well I took the plunge and acquired a new set of binoculars, Leica 10x42 Geovids, collected them today. They seem excellent, the glass is as good as, if not better than my Swarovski 10x42 EL's. Very impressed with them. Regards 243ACK Quote Link to post
tegater 789
you won't be disappointed, I bought the 8x42 trinovids some years ago, and use them all the time. The clarity is awesome. Quote Link to post
243ACK 36
Thanks, yeah it certainly is with these too, first opinions are that they are feckin' great. Quote Link to post
PESCA 7
I've the 10x42 Geovids too. Had the Zeiss Victory RF 10x before that. Not a lot to choose between them, optically, but I feel that the Leicas are better in the hand and the rangefinder is easier to use on them too. George Quote Link to post
De_Tomaso 0
The color and contrast on Leicas are nicer but the Zeiss is brighter in low light (due to Abbe-Koenig prisms). Swarovski El is somewhere in between. Edited August 15, 2012 by De_Tomaso Quote Link to post

243ACK 36
Just found the 'Scan Mode' (constant metering), excellent bit of kit these bino's are!! Got a pair of these and love 'em. But how does the scan mode work? What I did was press the button so the red box shows, then when you press it again to 'range' a target keep it pressed and as you look round at different objects it will give you 'range' readings of anything the laser hits. It is, however, supposed to shorten battery life. Quote Link to post

The Seeker 3,048
Hope you dont mind me asking but what made you go for the x10? I'm after a pair and I was looking at the 8x42 now i can't decide which mag Quote Link to post
trenchfoot 4,243
with the 10x I found that it was easier to select the target to rangefind it. Also didn't find that much difference from the 8x when it came to low light. Good luck Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
just out of intrest has any one rigged a NV cam kit to their binoculars Quote Link to post
243ACK 36
Hope you dont mind me asking but what made you go for the x10? I'm after a pair and I was looking at the 8x42 now i can't decide which mag I have always used 10x42, my Swaro's were 10x42, it's just what I'm used to and get on well with. You'll not go wrong with a set of these bino's, the mag is your choice! Quote Link to post
