mooster 1
The only problem with the short sharp neck job is that it can damage your nets in the excitement of the moment if you don't remove the rabbit first. I've tried all methods. One thing is certain...it's very hard to remove a struggling rabbit from the net before killing it. I simply pick it up in the net ,hold it by the head and give it a quick flick forcing the back legs very quickly back towards the back of the head at speed whilst pulling the head in the opposite direction. One or two quick flicks are always enough and the net remains in tact. FFS.give him a chance!!!!!!!!. We all have bad days but don't take it out of someone new on here mate!!! Welcome aboard Hunter! alimac 882
ferretlove and bigeddie.... yes i was really proud of myself that i was able to come up with the brain wave of removing the said rabbit from the net, strike over head with blunt instrement.. .. he is new to ferreting and i agree knows nothing, so your all saying now that he is armed with the knowledge of how to kill the bunnie after its been netted its all sun shine and roses for him to go out and work them:laugh: what about the rest of the knowledge they need before you go out ferreting??? if he had this from reading a book then surely he would of read how to kneck a bunnie?? i find it all very strange, and as its a forum surely im entitled to my opinion.. i was not insulting him as a person etc just questioning his/ there reasons for asking a question like they did.... plain and simple...... if you all want to get in a hump over it then thats fine.. I think what people are trying to say is the knowledge can not be gained from books alone!! The lad asked a very valid point and you came out and ridiculed him. The guy admits he is new to ferreting and has had the intelligence to ask about something he is not sure of........ If only more people were like that Quote Link to post

Madcowz 0
The guy admits he is new to ferreting and has had the intelligence to ask about something he is not sure of........ If only more people were like that Amen to that, not easy being a newbie. Lets hope he hasn't been put off by all this nonsense and comes back if he has more questions to ask. Shows a very mature attitude. /mad Quote Link to post
