poor old Lass...really sorry for her and you mate... its no way to go after all them years.

 

happened to me with my bestest ever dog in 1986...never had one as good since and also know I never will again.. I keep trying and hoping that one day a dog half as good comes along.

 

Gutted is not a strong enough word for how you must feel...Hope a bit of time will help to heal the wound matey.

That's terrible new's..and what make's it worse you are hundred's of miles away from your wife who must be devastated..

Your right Millet my wife is feeling terribley guilty and im stuck on the other side of the world ...she was in season and jumped the gate to get to the dog next door ...my wife heard her screaming and looked out the window and she was lying on the road looking over at her all her legs were broken her hip bone was sticking out her side and the scum that ran her over didnt stop :censored: ....the bitch didnt deserve to go that way ...thanks every one for your thoughts

I do feel for you and the wife Moo especialy when she had just been brought indoor's for a well deserved retirement..them hit and run driver's want flogging even if he was not to blame the decent thing to do is stop..

Terrible news MOO, especially after the upbeat tigger thread too. I really feel for yourself and your wife. Poor dog should not have went that way, gutted for you.

And as for the hit and run driver - i hope he gets what he deserves in the end.
