anyone running a wheaton whippet grey

hi all, been thinking on 2 crosses for a while now thats the beddy cross and the cross as above never seen one work personaly but i am very interstead in them so any info about this cross would be grat and pics if possible

Iv got a Wheatenbullwhipgrey here but she's only 17 weeks she's going to be a good one I'm sure . Whip xgrey of here's brother has just lined his greyhound to a working beddie .

I like a first cross but thought of havin something smaller that's why I thought of whippet in the mix I'm a bull x man myself but been fancieing a diff cross now for a while something around 21 mark

there is a lad on here with a whippetgreyhound wheaten. i'm sure he will turn up once he see's the thread. ive a whippet first cross and he stands at 23 tts.

You'll do well to get something with a decent amount of wheaten and grey influence in the mix to be anywhere near 21 mate as CS says he's got a first cross and it's more than that.

ive got a beddy but as going to the source to breed working wise i think the wheaton is your best bet i also considered both breeds and found the beddy suited me best atb

Cheers cs and that's a good size for a whippet first cross and out of curiosity first cross what is it beddy or Wheaton .

 

Grant_c my mate got a first cross Wheaton grey and he's only 23 tts so it can easily be done to a small dog and I didn't state properly which is my own fault something 21 and above as in to 21-23 ish

Is he heavy mate? All wheaten greys iv seen are well above that.

could have had one 2 and a half about three month before i pitched my tent it was a wheaton/greyhound firstx very nice looking dog both breeds are headstrong so went for a pup i will say one thing mate if i had my time over he would definetly have some collie in their just a suggestion atb.

Why would u say collie RM I know obviously for the brains but what I've seen of the Wheaton cross they can be head strong but got a little bit of brain to

cant really speak for the wheatons but a very similar line terrierx i dont feel u get the same dog for me without the collie thats the only x ive seen work if my beddy makes a decent rabbiter by four ill put him over a colliex

Ah right I get u now , I've been out with collie x hancocks stuff mainly but have never owned one for the simple fact of I hate it [bANNED TEXT] they run out of the beam in to darkness to swoop around on it I seen one break it's leg that way and have always put me off not sayin they all do but I find they can try to be to smart some times but I do understand we're your comin from and I suppose a little collie watered down might do it ok but I'd still be sceptical , cheers for the info tho its puttin new light on it
