simonrocco 175
i desided to have a couple of hours out ferreting on sunday with my daughter & nephew we went to a place that has just started with mixy most of the rabbits looked ok but theres some thats riddled with it we started off in a little strip wood and the first couple of sets produced nothing got to the fourth sett which was a 6 holer we entered the ferret and a few seconds later we heard bumping then rabbit number 1 was in the net with the ferret right behind it the ferret went back down and after about 5 mins rabbit number 2 bolted out of a little bolt hole on the other side of the fence it was the only hole we didnt net as it was covered with long grass so i ended up getting stick off my nephew for letting one get away we tried a couple more sets adding 2 more to the bag then i got a phone call and we had to cut the day short but we tried one more sett before we went home it was as 4 holer i netted up all 3 holes on my side of the fence then asked my nephew to look and see if there was any holes on his side he said no so i entered the ferret about 2 seconds later a rabbit bolterd out into the net i quickly despatched it and replaced the net then about 2 mins later another bolted on my side i renetted the hole and entered the ferret again then my nephew signaled to me that there was more bumping then a couple of seconds later a rabbit bolted from a unnetted hole on my nephews side so take the stick he got  he entered the ferret back in and the last rabbit was bolted this one was just starting with mixy we ended up with 6 in total should have been 8 but you cant catch them all can you  it was a good few hours enjoyed by all. hope you like the write up & atb for the season Quote Link to post
