i was only makeing a point the did no good on forleys cup

 

fitness is the key when the irish lads came over there dogs was irish fit but there is a very big diffrence to being fit for fen let no men tell you any differnt

 

i seen irish lads run on the fen... . there dogs did alright first time out the ran there dogs for a 2 weeks on the fen whent home for 1 week came over with the same dogs killed 3 out 3 each dog the irish dogs killed over 20 hares pre ban in one day i have seen this its allso on dvd doing it

and allso john john i seen that bitch run she was decent bitch never seen her jack but did see two irish dogs pull at the forley cup

Well this is a good chat lads keep it going but to be fair the same goes for the English stuff not being able to cope over ere its a different ball game and I think that fitness is actually an awful lot to do with it we just don't get the real long runs often enough over ere I was talkin to a man the other night pk he used to bring a gang of English lads over to Ireland every year he told me they ran forty hares one week and only killed one and it was a double he said they couldn't get through anything. Not a dig lads just a fair comment .

its not by no means english dogs cant do it over in ireland i have ran dogs in ireland 1/2 saliki.s 3/4 salukis and once a full saluki

and caught b,e

lads proper sports man gives the b.e a 100.to 200 yard slip enough speed to get there and stay

you need saluki blood for the fen no staight irish terrer cross etc without saluki would cope with the fens

 

remember most slips in ireland are about 10 to 15 yard slip [kickups]

Its very simple the dogs that went over to England from kings yard didn't have it in them for the fen but where good Irish dogs in there own right.Does it make them bad dogs because they could not run the fen?????As they where breed to run Ireland.Maybe thats why king goes for more saulki in his dogs now days and few others use English blood in there dogs.Is there dogs from Ireland that can run then fen now days yes.Why because people have learned for there mistakes.Is there English dogs that can run Ireland of course there is.You cant judge a dog on one day out if it has not run the land before a dog needs time to adopt to where there running that's why the best can run any where because they adopt very quickly.
