davyt63 1,845
It's not financially worth it but if the TX has sentimental value for you then why not. A barrel will cost you between £ and £90, compression tube appears to be the same for .177 and .22, you may need a weaker spring or remove spacers from your current set up to keep the power down. I suggest you contact Bond Gun Accessories who deals with all matters Air Arms. O.M.G how the f**K did you get on here Quote Link to post
lewisdale 0
but i want that one, has a certain sentimental value Well dont ask the feckin question then !! You cant help some people !!!!!! there always one, ask a question and get a silly answer, all i wanted was honest replies ANYWAY.. im not sure what power it kicking out tbh but what i do know is my very well used hw80 has far far more power and even kicks back, my mate split his nose on the telescopic sight when he fired it and want the tx to have similar power if poss Quote Link to post
neil82 1,080
yes, its possible, barrel and spring change, is it worth it, no way, the .177 will do everything you need and be easier to use, flatter tragectory makes rangefinding something you don`t have to worry about so much as when using a .22, only time a .22 comes into its own is rat bashing, thats the only reason i`ve still got a .22, all other guns are .177 hi Neil have to disagree buddy,i shoot a .22 well into the 50+ yds well! once you do your home work and trajectory map,its a simple as .177 just put the P.O.A on the mildot required and a gentle squeeze point i`m trying to make is that rangefinding is not so critical at reasonable (for most mortals, i`ve seen you shoot)ranges, only way i would use the .22 i`ve got for general hunting would be using a rangefinder, only way for me would be to go fac (my mk1 eyeballs are not so good anymore so with the .177, if i see it, i can kill it) Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
There`s always one , ask a question , get an answer , dont like the answer and ask again !!!! ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If its sentimenatal value then why chop it up ???? And if you want a power up grade you MUST know what the power is doing before you ask ? So far all you know is that you want the TX to split someones nose ............. Do yourself a favour , and all of us , get a bit of knowledge before you ask stupid questions . This site is viewed by all and sundry and your stupidity reflects on us all . There`s people on here who will forget more than you ( or i for that matter ) will ever know , so dont be cocky , and use your brain . 4 Quote Link to post
