wilko tango 50
Bordeaux x mayday lines, the father of my wheaten x ,i would love to put him to a greyhound bitch, but i think i might just wait and see how my wheaten x fairs out and use him as a base to some lurchers with a tried and test greyhound bitch ,not on the track but a bit of work in the field. I hope you mean Boudreaux and not Bordeaux ?.........lol Yeah mate a sticky R on this laptop lovely stamp that he looks nice and leggy would you not rather use that dog across a ghound bitch you ve got the best of both worlds with wheaton and bull in the one dog. i know he is only a pup i can remember you had pics of the litter up last year so you could nt have much done with him but defenityly worth thinking bout if he makes the grade. South hams hunter 8,922
Still think jeep or mayday as they just seem to be more athletic. Jeep dogs supposed to be ability based aswell. Know the mayfields bred some good Lurchers back in the day Quote Link to post
downsouth 7,307
Any half decent bred bulldog with a decent mouth and is rough with it should be good enough. At the end of the day its lurcher breeding we are talking about not producing proper gamedogs. 1 Quote Link to post

downsouth 7,307
Fair comment down south, some good dog come out of pet bulls I did say half decent bred,No excuse for some of the shit people are breeding from, half the time they dont know how their bred thats why you hear names like chinaman, jeep, redboy dogs from years ago being named,Names that anyone can find on the internet.Saying that reasonable lurchers are still being produced out of so called pet bulls so it goes to show that you dont really need to be using a pit ace. 1 Quote Link to post

South hams hunter 8,922
I said jeep/ red boy as a very close friend had one. A dog that done its job and bred some good Lurchers apparently. But saying that joe was a good shape himself Quote Link to post

But what would you use if ye had a choice Id be looking for a heavy mouthed rough dog bred from a good solid family,I wouldnt be worrying about superstars 5 or 6 gens back in the pedigree unless the family was saturated with said superstar.Saying that i havnt owned a bullcross for years and dont intend owning one in the future so its all pretty irrelevant really. stabba 10,745
What a lot fail to realise is that the greyhound side of things(in a genuine halfx)tends to iron out most faults found in the bull side of the mating.. That said a genuine half x is still me favourite of all x,s bull x wise. I think most faults tend to be the feet anyway.. flatfooted mostly or monkey fingered toes..dont stop em running and catching though..atb stabba Quote Link to post

Infact the best bullxs ive seen have all had shit feet and the best footed bullx ive ever seen was an out an out cur. Quote Link to post
