deanflute 550
Had my bitch out this morning at 5:20 before I went to work, Usual mornings stroll.......until this happened! She never made a sound or limped and if it hadn't been for the blood on my carpet I wouldn't have known anything had happened to her. Took her straight to the vets and she was put into theatre straight away. She is awake now and I can pick her up at 4pm and find out the full extent of her injuries and how long she will need resting. It doesn't look pretty so fingers crossed she will be up and running soon Quote Link to post

Thanks for sharing that, at least it has given me some comfort that she should heal and be running again. Wasn't taking any chances with not letting a vet see her though Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
You will have nothing to worry about mate i have had dog's with many cut pad's over the year's and they heal fine..i have a old retired dog here with half of his stopper's missing but it has never effected him..i'm 100% certain you will be out and about again sooner than you think..as for the vet's if you are unsure about anything get them booked in ASAP..you done the right thing.. paulus 26
best advice has already been given, just keep it clean and keep excersise to just a leed walk, it will heal on its own in a few weeks. just be mindfull of infection.let the dog lick it as it will help it heal and keep it clean Quote Link to post
