Tron 173
After removing several programs on my PC it now when switching on allthough full page shows all the words very tiny, the bottom right corner states -100% but the words are not. I have gone into "view" and even "page" and increased word size but it dosent hold the new size when changing to other forums I read, also when scrolling down the page it now behaves very notchy ie almost jerky. I am, I confess a old numpty on a pc hence the vast amount of dosh I have had to lay out on several ocasions having it put right by a local repair centre, I have also tried to reset it to a earlier day before I buggered it up but I cant even do that now.any good advice wellcome, Thanks guys. ghillies 209
sounds like removing stuff may have removed system lines, try a scandisc and tick the recover and repair, if that doesnt replace whats missing it would be a lot easier to just reformat. on that note get some recovery program like accronis or nortans ghost or the likes, make a copy when you reformat with al your programs on and save a copy image of your HD.. beets the smeg out of a full reformat.(and even your favorates at the time of the copy will be there running as it is was. Millet 4,497
Do a system restore and choose a restore point a few day's ago. Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
reinstall... first thing do defrag..if it takes ages it really needed it, so do it twice.(right click your harddrive in my computer, properties) next the scan disc might or should ask if you want to do it the next time you reboot/start up on win 7... reboot and sit n wait. after that..its reinstal, if it was your HD or memery etc it usealy craps out or shows the blue screen of death lol, you'll recognise it. if you have a grafix card in, most pc's just switch to the mother board grafix if its broke.. sheesh take it to a shop? must be made of money lol. heres the secret..shhhhh move closer, i'll wisper it... click format, when its dun pop in the windows disc, click next.. next..full reinstall..next, finish ok. fiffy quid please sir..owch. same with 90 percent of the programs. if you get a copy of accronis (with the money for paying the shop) your sorted. worth a try? a ps added in, you'll need asecond drive to put the copy from accronis on..after that its literally a case of putting the disk in, reboot whilste tabbing f11 or which ever f key it is on your pc, and locate the file and click go sort of thing. or you can even install acronis onto your pc and do it directly Edited August 13, 2012 by ghillies Quote Link to post

ghillies 209
when did you last defrag? the drive gets 'clogged' untill everything starts going rong, then just gets worse and worse... it basicaly tidies up all the stray program lines and puts its tidy again. sounds like it may need 2 or three lol. after 1 defrag it should work better.. Ron. By "scrolling" I'm assuming your using a browser? IE, Chrome, Firefox ect. It could be that you have inadvertanly removed something, a reinstall of the affected browser could solve the issue. Also an update of Java and flash could help. Chris Quote Link to post
