Wxm 1,638
I had a lash off of seagull 20 odd years ago, furkin gross I have to say.my mother thought it was a pheasant as I had it skinned before I brought it home.I read sailors over the centurys caught and ate them when out at sea so I thought id be adventurous .Id rather starve to death after that though, lol.rabbit and deer and hare and pigeon on regular occasions and of course goat now and then. I've a old 1940's cook book that has gull in it and it says you have to keep them for 2 weeks fed on butter milk to rid them of the rank taste, is this the same with snails?? you have to starve them then just feed them greens or the other wht around :hmm:

scothunter 12,609
Hate grouse, like chewing heather. Hare isn't much better. Fav is partridge, pheasant is ok and duck if cooked proper. Woukdnt eat a rat I'd give fix a go if I was dying of hunger.
PlasticJock 539
I'd eat anything to survive, but in the here and now I've eaten the usual - rabbit (having a curry tonight), pigeon, venison and the rest. Can't beat pigeon, shame there isn't more meat on them!
