Brilliant! I've seen them in two places near me but the elusive buggers just don't want to let me catch them with the lens.

 

Tell me about it Jen been after them all year...was fed up seeing their wee blue asses flying past...hopefully will get some better shots next time

Superb are those..i haven't seen sight of one this year infact the past couple of year,i knew of a great spot where they ALWAYS nested yearly but when we had the floods up here in West Cumbria (when the bridges washed away) so did the river bank where the kingfishers used to frequent :cray: ..hopefully i'll bump into them again at some stage though? :yes: ..look forward to the next pics of these fantastic wee birds :thumbs:
