silencer will it make a world of difference

hi i have a TX and have never needed a silencer,once you THWACK ! your quarry the rest are going to scarper.because its the sound of impact not your spring rifle. the plastic plenum in side your TX

So you went to buy a silencer and got a new gun..? Wish i could do that !!!

Is yours an HC Carbine Richard? That has a threaded sleeve to fit an adaptor and silencer. I have a .177 TX200HC and prefer it without. It makes very little difference as the rifle is almost silent at 30 yards and soundless thereafter. The standard MkIII rifle I also have, has no threaded end and cannot take one. Unless there's another method I've not heard of. :hmm: I think you do not need one.

mines a 22 simon its got a threaded end the lad in the shop gave me all the speal about the little plastic sound moderator that comes as standard it would be an adaptor onto a hw silencer its not a loud gun as such i might try and hang on to my 70 quid for now an see how it goes

Yes mate, my friend has a tx with one on and it's ok, not sure what price Bagnall & kirkwood charge for them though

i might pop through my local two canny shops round here see what they have to offer if the air arms silencer does the same job for less all the better i bought the gun as i thought it stood up well to the hw97 buying english can sometimes be a good thing its been a while since i could say that cheers for replys lads atb.
