dry food how much water

Recommended Posts

Not surprising: raw meat is around 70% water, dry food is maximum 10% water. Another reason why dry food isn't good for an animal's health: having to take in all that extra water to make the food expand in the stomach. Just my opinion, but you know it makes sense.

If your mainly feeding dry then I think ferrets need bowls of water to get a propper drink.

I have both for mine, big 1 litre rabbit bottles and big ceramic dog bowls full of water, they cant tip em. Yes they will play in them for first couple of days

but then it wears off. Least then theyre getting a propper drink. I feed both dry through day and raw at night.
