Richard Morgan 38
recently my father purchased a second hand bsa superten from a reputable gun dealer on recent outings the gun has on more than one occasion failed to cock and feed upto three pellets into the barrel on other occasions it has completely jamed and had to go back to shop is this a common issue with the superten? i once upon a time owned a bsa hornet and hated the gun i swore i would never own another one iam slightly biased against them atb. secretagentmole 1,701
Simple solution, always cycle the bolt in the full action, ie lift up, pull back, pull down, lift up push back, pull down, you are not cocking the mechanism! I have had three Super Tens, never had a double load, never had a jam, never had a problem! Quote Link to post
Baghdadnights 150
What magazine has the s10 got if its the old black and silver ones that's your problem. I'm sure the new ones red for .22 and blue for .177 work in them Quote Link to post
Richard Morgan 38
ive never used the gun its my fathers the guy at the gun shop pointed out the cocking bolt action when he bought the gun its a 22 mate alloy magazine i think could it be the magazine Quote Link to post

Mawders 595
Aye get a red new style mag and ditch the alloy mag they are prone to failure. 1 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
News to me, I have the alloy mags in Mini Me, over a year now and no failures, one is secondhand too! Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Mole think you answered your own question, you were lucky enough to find a brand new never been used superten so 'new condition'. Your mag is essentially new. Many people obviously buy very old very used and very abused supertens hence the mags are generally shot. Guess you got lucky with the used mag. Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
It may well be that the mag needs cleaning, there' s a you tube vid somewhere but I can't find it at the mo! Quote Link to post

There it is I look after my guns... The secondhand one that we got did need a service, there is an excellent video on you tube, deals with the O rings but generally clean everything and put it back together! Quote Link to post
