birddog 1,354 Posted August 11, 2012 Report Share Posted August 11, 2012 my collie cross took a few ferreting around flight ponds last year, was only nipped once and switched on to the game, she also seemed to know not to bring them to me. they were living in rabbit burrows and when a bunny bolted she still retrieved them alive but rats were crunched, shook and just left lying. not that i'm interested in doing it lots (my ferreting mate has 5 russels leave it for him) but i think she'd be handy enough with practise Quote Link to post
