gas ram fitted to replace spring

Recommended Posts

The noise mostly comes from the action on a spring rifle when you shoot, I replaced a spring with a gas ram in a bsa lightning and I liked it, it was just as hold sensitive and sounded different when fired but I wouldn't say it was any more quite.

Theoben do gas ram kits for rifles but I don't know about the tx200, if you are after less noise buy a pcp rifle, my ultra with a wheirauch silencer is whisper quite and all you here is the hammer spring when fired but if your about ten feet away you hardly here anything and there more accurate.

Strip her down, degrease polish and relube. If you still aren't satisfied, try a reputable tuning kit. My tx got twangy, did the above and she's superb now. My 97kt has a vmach kit installed and i have no complaints. That's an understatement. She couldn't perform better in my humble opinion.
