I'd rather see proper sentancing and full life in prison personally. If one innocent person is killed then IMO that just isn't worth the death penalty. Innocent people have been killed on numerous occasions too. It is also proven to be far more expensive to the tax payer to execute someone than it is to keep them in prison, what with all the appeals process etc.

Capital punishment is illegal in this country. Never to return. We don't even extradite criminals to a country that has the death penalty.

As for the DNA proof! Well with DNA it's easy to make mistakes or fit people up. Even a confession can't be 100% accurate. There folk out there with mental issues who admit to crimes all the time.

Aye that's all very well Saying that. Till maybe one day you find yourself or a family member up on some charge you/ they didn't do. A few quid and an apology after so many yeArs might soften the blow, but if your dead your f*****g dead!

DNA evidence just puts you at the scene of the crime,i know it's different in sex cases but it don't prove you did it just you were there.Puts a lump in my throat to say it but wilf's talking sence with his last post,i know someone who's just got 15 years min for his car being used in dumping a body (pissed up fight that went wrong and they panicked) and i've known the lad for 20 odd years and never liked him but he sure is no killer and he was to pissed to even remember lending his car out,still doing 15 year for feck all and dna evidence in his car put him away and apart from the odd case like Brady most won't want to die so won't admit it.

I do agree with you they should die and i used to think use them as living donor's but if it is down to gene's being fecked up then who really would want a organ from a nonce in themselves or heaven forbid in a child.

Unless he raped her there won't be any admissible DNA in this case - he was a family member, he would have visited her, she was found in her grans house so on and so forth. Funny how people tell me they don't believe in vigilante action when I'm ripping the police, then we have how many saying we should kill a man for a crime.

You've all made you're minds up already, how do we know it wasn't the gran, maybe by accident after a fight, and he ran away for different reasons?

thinking of this for 7 years now life should be life never to see out side the door of a jail killing them will not bring the person you lost back ,let them rot in jail even if it cost whatever they never hurt another person again that worth any money

Extremely emotive subject, my heart says yes hang the bast*rds but my head says the DNA can only put the person at the scene of the crime so even if it was 100% could mistakes still be made?

Hang the fcukers live on tv at 6pm for all to see might act as a deterant to the rest of the dirty bsatards, reckon a few people would change their opinions on the death penalty if such a hideous crime happened to them, and yes i would be the executioner and i don't think I would suffer from one bit of remorse for hanging the filth, look at the job the system has done of Brady and Hyndly, Keith Bennetts old mother is still hoping for closure from that dirty b*****d!!!

Just heard on the radio a further 2 people have been arrested a man and woman and the speculation is that the woman ( her grandmother ) has been arrested for her murder ..........
