Guest Ditch_Shitter
" Ferret Passports " ? I honestly thought for a moment there that ye were taking the piss in an effort to see how far our patiance would stretch with ye unorthodox questions! Now I see what ye on about. Pet Passports! Frankly love, I'd suggest ye just chuck that into Google and read what ever DEFRA or who ever it is that oversee's that scheme has to say about it. But, from what little I personally have heard, I don't think it'll be worth the bother. Better to leave ye ferrets with a knowledgable person. Reason I say this is because - with Dogs at least - ye have to go through a load of tiresome and potentially quite financially draining hoops to do with blood tests and vaccinations. Personally, I wouldn't want to do that to my ferrets. Anyway, up to you. Google " Pet Passport UK ". It'll all be there. Best of luck. Quote Link to post
bunnyboy 0
Has anyone here got passports for their ferrerts? Wondering how they work - will I need to pay everytime I take my ferret in or out of the country? Is it just a one-off payment for the passport? Will I need to pay flights or ferry tickets for ferrets? I'll be taking some trips to Norway - only about once a year - if that, but It'd be good to take my ferrets, they'll be very welcome amongst family and friends there. I sent some ferrets to Norway last year 2oo6 with their own passports, each country requires diffrent vacinations to be carried out befor they will allow ferrets into their country, one is for rabies which has to be done 12 weeks before traveling Edited June 4, 2007 by bunnyboy Quote Link to post

Guest Johnny tourettes
Have looked into the pet passport thing for taking our dog to Norway this year, it doesn't need the rabies vaccination providing it hasn't been into a country with rabies in the last 7 mths! Good news! Quote Link to post
