jaycey001 0
I have recently brought a 99 TD suzuki GV, Its a great car, best of all, i have been averaging 46mpg over the last few days! but now my other half has decided she likes siting up high and the ease of geting the babys car seat in and out. Thus has taken a likeing to MY GV! :-/ Kinda good as i have another excuse to get a new car :-) looking to spend around 2-2.5k must be an oil burner and auto. Im thinking of getting an old Disco as parts seem so cheap (despite what people say) and they seem fairly reliable (dont care if things drop off, as long as it gets me home!) My only reservation is that i wont be using it extensivly off road, just a bit of picking up and taking the dogs out for the odd shoot, but will often be travelling 300 miles + a week as we live in a very rural location. I would have a paj but fuel consumbtion seems quite high on them compared to the disco. So what do you rekon, a Disco or my other choice, a Terrano? Thanks James
DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
Rust everywhere, leaky sunroofs. and unreliable when compared to a jap equivelent, but probably better off road.

Agree with the rust and sunroof problems but wouldnt say any less reliable and if they do go wrong they are far cheaper to fix than a jap motor.

Most lads can do all the basic stuff at home, and if you get stuck there are forums all over the net with enthusiasts only too willing to help you out. Have you still got your Defender Downsouth? Nice TD5 here for you
